Zach Slump – Poor Quality Aesthetics

Ohio’s very own Zach Slump of the Casual Crooks releases a brand new project called Poor Quality Aesthetics.

Zach Slump is a new artist that I had the pleasure of stumbling across, and I was very impressed with his sound of the first listen. Slump describes the tape as  a project that was all about learning to love and find the beauty in what he’s been through. From the back of cop cars and NA meetings he missed, to the stitches and broken glass probably still in that house, you can feel the beauty in Zach Slump’s struggles.

The 12-song project has features from artists in his crew, such as Sioux, KenicRay, and LunarThought who all compliment each other very well and you can feel they chemistry that they have in each collaboration.

As we have stated in the past, Ohio has a lot of underground talent that is on the rise, and the cool thing about Ohio’s underground is that everyone is making sounds of their own and no one seems to be riding any waves. It’s only a matter of time before Ohio gets the shine the state deserves.
