XXXTentacion – Skins

The long awaited and highly anticipated posthumous album, ‘Skins’ is released by XXXTentacion’s team and it’s nothing short of amazing.
Before his tragic death in the summer of 2018, Jahseh Onfroy aka XXXTentacion had informed his fans in December of 2017 that he had 3 albums coming, Skins, Bad Vibes Forever, and ?. With ? releasing in March and debuting at number 1 on the Billboard 200, 2018 was looking good for X until he was tragically murdered in June. This left his fans in shock and mourning in an event that can be compared to the infamous death of Tupac Shakur.
A few months after X’s death, his camp announced Skins would debut on the night of December 6th, during Art Basel Miami. The release party included performances by collaborators such as Trippie Redd, Ski Mask The Slump God and more.

Kanye West, who is featured on the album also performed at the show. After X’s death, Kanye showed his appreciation to the Florida native on Twitter saying how big of an inspiration X was to him.
Something that X was not afraid of doing was creating different sounds and music that people don’t expect, which is exactly what is in this album. It features a variety of moods, melodies, and sounds blended perfectly together in a way that only X is capable of doing. This album serves as an outlet for X’s fans, who have been holding on extremely tight to everything that has came out since his passing. The impact that Jah left on this earth at such a young age is something that I’ve never seen with anyone else. With that being said, Long Live Jahseh.
