TheFriend – Crooked Scars

Waterloo, Canada native TheFriend sends a message to his ex lover in “Crooked Scars”.

I’m not hip to a lot of Canadian artists, but I’m impressed with my first experience listening to TheFriend. He’s extremely vulernable and has the ability to express his emotions in a relatable way to his audience. The instrumental is a darker feeling type of sound that matches the message that I think TheFriend is trying to give to us. The message is about lost love, anguish, regret, and a struggle to move on – which is something a lot of us can relate to.
