Steele 11 – Frozen Heart (feat. Savage Ga$p)

Florida-based musician Steele 11 is an artist that I recently got hip to, and I’ve had the pleasure of diving deeper into his discography. In this brand new song, Steele 11 connects with the young Louisville-bred artist Savage Ga$p for a beautiful offering. Steele 11 begins the cut by explaining his frustrations with an infectious hook that literally hits your heartstrings.

Steele 11: “Heart beats slow like the strum of the guitar, she left me cold it was freezing in the dark. Took my broken heart and she put it in a jar!”

Steele 11 also sends a message to his peers saying that other artists “fake depression for the fame”. In the current realm of hip hop, there is definitely an over-saturation of artists who have taken on the style of depression, suicidal, and more sad emotions into their music. After artists like Lil Peep, Juice Wrld, and others who have influenced our culture and paved the way for this type of music, the underground seems to be full of artists who are trying to run with similar musical aesthetics. I feel like that is what Steele 11 was trying to say in that line. Then Savage Ga$p comes in and lays down bars at a rather quick rate which brings an entire different verse to the melodic and dreamy song. Savage Ga$p is extremely versatile and really shines on his verse to end the song right, giving the song a lot of replay value.

Tap in with these incredible artists as 2019 is right around the corner, either of these guys could blow up!
