Riley Droopy Eyes Savage

If you haven’t yet seen the droopy eyed cartoons of people that are taking over social media like storm you will soon enough. 25 year old, Riley Savage, based out of Detroit, Michigan is responsible for these unique and eye grabbing cartoons. Artists such as Desto Dubb, Lil Xelly, and more have used these cartoons for themselves and others will soon follow the trend.

With inspirations from Pokemon, Spongebob, Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, Tyler the Creator, and Adventure Time, Riley has many different lanes of inspiration that can be seen throughout his work. One of my favorites and one of his biggest pieces of work so far can be seen on the cover art for Desto Dubb’s single “Bank Teller”, featuring an impressive collaboration with Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Pump, Smokepurpp, and 03 Greedo produced by Thank You Fizzle.

Savage started drawing when he was only 2, but then learned the digital aspect of his work in college at DAAP. He is also the creator of Hivemindtv. Be on the lookout for this talented individual and a fully animated show might just be in the future.
