Maxo Kream – “Roaches”

After releasing Roaches earlier this year on his project Punken, Maxo Kream gives us the visuals for the single fans have been eagerly waiting for. Maxo takes us on an emotional journey through his childhood where he raps about growing up in Houston, Texas then traveling to his emotions after the recent Hurricane Harvey that hit his hometown. The video directed by Shomi Patwary plays off of Maxo’s wordplay bar for bar perfectly.

“Remember roaches in my ashtray and roaches in my cereal, Airforce knockoffs with the Gucci print material,” off the chorus of the song gives the viewer’s perspective on how his childhood really was. Maxo has come so far to have the title he has for himself and this visual is the perfect representation of what pushed him to make it to where he is now.
