Lil Peep – “Life is Beautiful”

Lil Peep’s camp releases the final single off his posthumous album “Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt. 2”

Nearly a year after the beloved Long Island native passed away, his long awaited album “COWYS Pt. 2” is set to release on November 9th. Peep’s camp has released two singles off the album (Cry Alone and Runaway) before releasing “Life is Beautiful” The single starts out with Peep speaking to “you” as he contrasts hardships in life with saying “Isn’t life beautiful.” He then goes on to tell the story of how “you” are doing the impossible and bringing light into your life as he contrasts this by saying “Isn’t life horrible.” Peep then goes on to talk about relationships and sings “Isn’t life comical.” Next, Peep seems to speak directly to the listener by introducing himself into the song stating, “and if you ever need a friend then you got me” He then goes on to speak on death and suicide and asks, “would you help me get a grip or would you drop me?”

This song is truly a piece of art. The way Peep takes the listener on a journey by speaking directly to the listener by using the word “you” makes the song feel so much more personal. The lyricism matched by the eerie and mellow beat creates the perfect combination for Lil Peep to get his thoughts out in a hypnotizing fashion.

With this being the third and final single off the album before it drops Friday, I’m extremely excited to see what else is in store for us. Stream the single below.
