Branded. – THOUGHTS (Freestyle)
Branded. is an artist I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and becoming friends with through music, who is also good friends with Newport, Kentucky-bred artist Pangeaux. Branded. hails out of Tennessee, but chose to leave his hometown to pursue his music career and took his talents to Portland, Oregon where he currently resides and makes music daily.
It’s amazing to see his growth throughout his journey as a musician. Yes, he’s a musician; not a rapper, not a singer – he does everything really well. I never know what to expect when he drops something. He’s constantly experimenting with new sounds, new instruments, new flows, etc. He is an all around, extremely versatile artist, songwriter, producer, engineer, and many more talents that I probably can’t name off the top of my head!
What brings Branded. to our pages today is his most recent release called “THOUGHTS (Freestyle)” which I really enjoyed listening to. The beat is a low-fi, old school hip hop type of beat, and this is a song that I can tell is genuinely coming from the heart.

Branded. portrays the life of a musician and what is going through his mind on this journey. I think he’s finally comes to terms with the fact that he doesn’t care if he’s pleasing other people with his career choice, it’s more a personal calling and he’s going to chase his dreams whether people understand him or not. That’s the part of being a musician or any kind of entrepreneurial career chose – you are going to be misunderstood.
I’m extremely excited to see what Branded. has coming heading into 2019, I know he’s been working on an album… It’s going to be interesting to hear what’s up next.
