Blake D – Dead Soon (Ft. Pangeaux)

The collab that all of Northern Kentucky has been waiting for is here as two of the biggest names coming out of the area put all of their emotions into the heartfelt track titled ‘Dead Soon.’

The song starts out with an alternative rock-style guitar beat with Blake D’s addicting hook “From the way that I’m living, I might be dead soon; slit my wrist, bleeding out in the bathroom; these drugs are keeping me alive” you can’t help but sing along to the hook after your first listen. Blake then goes on to sing about a drug habit and how the drugs numb the pain. As the track progresses on, Pangeaux comes in with a signature melodic-style verse explaining how he wants to run away and leave everything behind.

After listening to this song, I can definitely tell that the two artists are finding their sound and giving hip-hop a refreshing new taste. This is probably the best piece of work I’ve heard come out of Northern Kentucky and I would bet if these two had more exposure, this would easily be a Billboard top 100 song.

With all that being said, I can’t wait to see what these two have in store for this year.
