6ix9ine – “Dummy Boy”

6ix9ine has been the center of the discussion lately with everything going on around his name. There’s been a lot of speculations and allegations but, if you haven’t been paying attention to what has been going on in the 22-year-old Brooklyn rappers career, here’s what’s going on.

The original release of Dummy Boy was scheduled for November 23rd where that was soon put to a halt after 6ix9ine was arrested for racketeering charges earlier last week on November 18th along with other’s from his team that he recently fired. To add to the situation the album was then leaked when Tekashi was in custody. Shortly after the leak was taken down fans wondered when they would receive their project they’ve been waiting for.

After pleading not guilty to the federal charges, Dummy Boy has been released today and shows a very different side of Tekashi that we have seen him tapping into recently. Not every song is the hard-hitting, in your face type songs like GUMMO, TATI, and BILLY that we’ve previously heard. Songs like TIC TOC featuring Lil Baby and MAMA with Nicki Minaj and Kanye West offer a softer and very catchy vibe. All in all I really enjoyed the project and I know that this will project will only become bigger with the attention that 6ix9ine currently has.
