21 Savage – i am > i was

21, 21 , 21! After a whole year of dropping no music, 21 Savage returns to give us a new masterpiece.
21 Savage has been seen on various albums this year such as Metro boomin’s “Not All Heroes Wear Capes”, on Travis Scott’s “Astroworld” and also Post Malone’s “Beer Bongs & Bentleys”. Even though 21 has not dropped any music of his own until now, 21 has been on a roll this year. To cap it all off, the Atlanta rapper returns with an album filled with anthems that are nothing short of hits.
Within his new album, “i am > I was”, 21 comes to us with some new sounds along with his signature old self. On the track, “asmr” 21 returns with the infamous “whispering” rap that we have all come to love which debuted on the track, “Don’t Come Out The House” on Metro Boomin’s “Not All Heroes Wear Capes” album. While usually rapping on hard hitting trap beats, 21 takes a different approach while rapping on old school style beats. If this project wasn’t amazing enough already, 21 recruits J. Cole on “a lot” to give us one of the most iconic Cole verses to date. Lil Baby, ScHoolboy Q, and Post Malone are also featured on the album along with others.
This is one of the best projects to close out the year, which will be played into 2019 and years to come.
